These sweet elderly ladies were made in Germany , excelsior filled and were bought in David Jones store in Victoria in 1948 for twin baby girls . I came across them in an old store in Beechworth ,Victoria and fell in total love with them.
Any info on origins would be appreciated. They look similar to the carnival bears made in Europe at that time but these were of export quality for a chain of exclusive shops out here in Oz.
